Don't Let Your Circumstance Define You

Let's just accept this fact. You are not always going to look good in every situation in your  life. You're not going to look good in every situation at work too. So just accept the fact that when those incidences happen to you in life, in work, in every situation, don't let it define who you really are.
In fact, it's in those situations that the real you has an opportunity to exercise it's existence. It's in those situations that remind you that nothing else really matters except who you really are.
One of the most important concepts that I've learned is the understanding of the Be - Do - Have model. This model says that you have to "Be" who you really are in order to "Do" what you need to do, so that you may "Have" the things that matter to you.
If you switch it around to Have - Do - Be, this model says that you are defined to what you have. Many people, that I've observed in Southern California, live this model of defining who they are by what they own and what they do to get it. According to that way of being, if your car is wrecked in an accident or your house is swallowed up by an earthquake, your being is swallowed up with those possessions too.
If you live by the model, Do - Have - Be or Do - Be - Have, you are defined by your actions and what you do. Many entrepreneurs operate their lives this way and define who they are by their business.
Being in the "Be" will ensure that no matter what happens in life, positive or negative, will not change who you are and allows you to add consistency to your existence. Who you are, your "Be" is based on your values, your beliefs, and your core desires. This model is not exclusive to only individuals, it also applies to teams and work cultures. By being in the "Be", you can weather any storm, steer clear of reactionary behavior and keep your life compass on your true north so have total clarity to what you need to do in order have what you desire.
