What’s the Number One Secret to Increased Achievement?

Our year is halfway completed and we’re gearing up to make the latter half of 2017 the best that it can be! You may have even updated and revised your sales and marketing plan for the remainder of this year just to stay on top of your achievements.
But there is one secret that is if added to your life, may give you that edge to realizing your best success to date. That number one secret to your path to the top is, “A good life is built on good relationships!”
In an article in Inc. Magazine, February 27th, 2017, the writer reports on two studies done over a 75 year period from Harvard’s Grant and Gluck study that tracked the physical and emotional well-being of two populations.  The clearest message that we get from both these 75-year studies is this: Good relationships keep us happier and healthier. Period.
Because the data is clear that, in the end, you could have all the money you've ever wanted, a successful career, and be in good physical health, but without loving relationships, you won't be happy.
So if your really serious about your business success for the remainder of this year and beyond, I outlined a few suggestions to getting there.
  1. Remember, your “Home Team” of core friends and family. They are your rock, your foundation to the rest of your life. When planning your work week, don’t forget them.
  2. Don’t forget to have recess. Recess was my most important and valuable time in elementary school. Recess was the time that we all learned how to play with each other, develop socialization skills and valuable breaks between reading, writing and ‘rithmetic. So create your own daily recess.
  3. Schedule relationship building time with your own immediate family. If you're like me , your family is your “Why” to working as hard as you do. Make sure they get priority when you schedule your week.
  4. Take care of “Number One”, you! Take care of yourself, do it fully. Feel the total satisfaction of filling your bucket completely. Then do it for the people that you love. Fill their buckets and make those relationship connections even deeper and more loving.
  5. Put structure in place so you make time for those special relationships. Embrace this new sense of freedom that you now experience from knowing what direction you’d like to go.
Put structure in place to allow more freedom and time to embrace and build those special relationships so you too can have a happy life!

There's an old axiom: "It's not WHAT you know it's WHO you know." This article gives the very important addition of: "HOW do you know them?"

I'd like to add something to that:

Do you LISTEN to your circle? I mean really listen. Take a step back and LOOK at them as if for the very first time. Do you notice something different that maybe you took for granted before? Appreciate it. Even if you don't say anything they will feel it and be better for it.

Maybe they have some issue in search of a solution? GIVE it to them!

Do they have some special quality or knowledge that you need? Try it on like a new set of clothes. See if it helps you.

As long as you're looking for ways to interact with your tribe in a deeper more relevant way to both of you (the old: win/win/win) you're on your way to business and personal success.
